NEW FRONTIER AVIATION FORT BENTON MONTANA

New Frontier Aviation uses the most up to date aircraft available for firefighting. Our pilots and ground crews are highly trained professionals. Each aircraft undergoes a rigorous maintenance schedule each year to insure they are it top condition for the upcoming fire season.

Some of the fleet of aircraft of New Frontier Aviation New Frontier Aviation uses 4 major types of aircraft to perform the duties it contracts for. Two types are used for aerial mapping and command and control. The first of these is a Cessna 182. It is a 4 place single engine aircraft. The second is an Aero Commander with the ability to carry up to 7 passengers.

The firefighting or S.E.A.T. aircraft are the 800-gallon Air Tractor 802 and the smaller 550-gallon M-18 Dromader, which is an excellent aircraft for remote locations with short runways. Dromaders can get in tight canyons and get the retardant where it is needed most.

New Frontier Aviation uses many types of fire suppression agents including Class A Foams and Gels. The latest technology that has proven itself over the last few fire seasons is Thermo-Gel®. Thermo Gel® is a U.S. Forest Service Approved product and nearly stops a fire in its tracks.
